Jennifer Yih graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BA in Political Science in 2013. She started her publishing career as an intern and later marketing coordinator for Networlding Publishing in Chicago while she attended Loyola University Chicago. In 2009 Jen studied Portuguese in three different cities in Brazil: Sao Paulo, Presidente Prudente and hide-away surf town of Ubatuba. In 2012, she attended John Cabot University in Rome, Italy, upon return she says, “I left my heart in Rome, that city casts a spell on you, there I took three hour long studio art classes and drank wine in the afternoon.”
When Jen wasn’t in school you could find her globe trotting to and from Europe or South America and pioneering her self-started magazine about young inspiring individuals called NOSSA Magazine. NOSSA was prized by a venture capitalist group at $40,000 in 2012.
She has been writing since age 8, inspired by the movie “Harriet the Spy.”
Recently, she spent the year living in Honolulu, Hawai’i soaking up the surf and sun, while working for another publishing company and designing an exclusive clothing line for surf artist, Heather Brown. She has now landed in Portland, Oregon where she is a producer at Empire Green Creative.
