Eloise, Ella for short, isn’t very different from the rest of the 20-something year olds out there. Originally from a small town in the midwest, this girl is another loaded gun, ready to take the world by storm. But like many others, she’s at the bottom of the totem pole. After graduating from her university she finds herself lost in an industry that she quotes, “sucks the very life out of you.” Like so many young and inexperienced, she had to start somewhere to maybe find out what she doesn’t want before she can take the steps towards achieving whatever it is she’s chasing. Ella, the most introverted appearing of the Shy Town Girls, has a wondrous mind, curious about new paths and exploring not only Chicago but the world, and most importantly, herself.
Ella was an avid dancer all her life and had to make the decision at only 18-years-old to pursue her ballet career or attend a “normal” university as her parents put it. After a summer in Paris, France taking classes at the American Ballet Academy of Paris she suffered a major ankle injury in her first month in France. Since she was forced to stop dancing for the summer, she decided to tour the streets of Paris, only to find a new found passion, fashion.
Book three takes a tour into Ella’s mysterious and transformative life, quitting her stable job to pursue the heat that’s been smoldering inside of her.
Book three is currently being written by author, producer, and traveler Jennifer Yih. Jennifer was also the author of Book one and editor of Book two by Katie Leimkuehler. She notes, “at first, I found it hard to connect with Ella, but after serious self-relfecting and a series of my own life experiences, I find Ella absolutely enchanting. I hope everyone else thinks the same.” Book three is set for publication this fall 2014.
